Use CalculatorFrequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between percentage change, increase and decrease?
They use the same formula. Percentage change reports the signed result, while increase/decrease calculators present the magnitude for a rising or falling value.
Can percentage change exceed 100%?
Yes. A value that doubles increases by 100%; one that triples increases by 200%. Decreases, however, can never fall below −100% relative to the original.
