How do I calculate a price drop percentage?
Subtract the new price from the old price, divide by the old price, and multiply by 100. Example: 1,200 → 900 is a 25% decrease.
A 25% drop followed by another 25% drop is 50% off?
No — decreases compound: 100 → 75 → 56.25, which is a 43.75% total reduction, not 50%.
